Twisted Silver’s Tokyo Necklace Rocks Our World

I am always excited about the latest and greatest in accessories so you can imagine what kind of dreamy-eyedness that came over me when I saw the newest necklace launched by Twisted Silver. This is such a rad necklace that screams edgy and chic but I can also see this being such a versatile piece, something I can wear with so much… I mean, one of my favorite things to do is work an outfit around a stellar piece of jewelry. Here, let me show you what I mean.

Colored Jeans to Transition into Spring

Spring is in the air, which means it’s time to start focusing on those key transition pieces to take your winter wardrobe out of the frost and into the (sometimes) balmy temperatures.  Colored denim is a hot trend this season, and a great way to bring some zest to your wardrobe without sacrificing the functionality that many of us need in our lives and our climates.

Look for bright jewel tones in reds and greens; I love these pink skinny jeans from ASOS.com

Save Big on Designer Jeans

The holidays are finally over, so we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief. After a spendy December, most of us are hesitant to do any splurging so soon into the new year, especially now that all of the Black Friday sales have come and gone. However, after all of that gift shopping, isn’t it time to buy something for you? How about a new pair of designer jeans?

Granted, a new pair of designer jeans can easily go for $200 or more in retail stores. The trick is to dig a little bit deeper for deals. One not so obvious place to look is eBay.com. If you’re willing to buy a pair of jeans that may have been worn once or twice, you can often find that same $200 pair for $50 or even less in some cases. There are also usually reasonable discounts on new pairs.

To help you to navigate through their endless sea of listings, check out Designer Jeans. This site makes is super easy to browse jeans by brand/size so that you can find the best deal available on the jeans you want.

For you expectant mothers, there is also a section for designer maternity jeans. Many prominent designer labels have begun to offer special lines of designer denim specifically designed for moms-to-be. Some familiar brands include True Religion, Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, and 7 For All Mankind.

If you’re not familiar, eBay allows private sellers to list products on their website. Because of this, you should always investigate the seller’s feedback profile to make sure they are a trusted seller before you bid on any items they might have for sale. While not common, counterfeit goods are sometimes sold on eBay. Sticking to the power-sellers with strong feedback is your best bet.

Skinny Jeans That Really Make You Look Skinny!

If you are like me you overdid it at the Thanksgiving table, and probably overdid it with the leftovers, and then maybe, like me, overdid it with the group candy dish at work today.  All this has left me with a wardrobe challenge; everything in my closet is snug and makes me look fat.  Thank heaven for my Hello! Skinny Jeans.  These are the BEST jeans ever!  They are thigh slimming, stomach flattening, buttock shaping, leg lengthening, stretch denim jeans.   Seriously.  I read about them in Lucky Magazine earlier this year and was skeptical, but Lucky was offering one of their Lucky Deals so I decided to try a pair.  Talk about go-to jeans.  And they have saved me this week!  I bought the Night Wash and they are perfect to dress up or down; I can wear them to the office with a jacket or with a T-shirt to look pulled together doing errands.

Hello! SkinnyJeans® are made from classic denim but with a high nylon/elastane content. This denim is made exclusively for SkinnyJeans®. This gives them a ‘beefy’ strength to hold you in (no wimpy, gummy stretch here) and creates ‘Memory’—it sucks everything in and never sags, bags or grows by the end of the day. (You will not have to wash them every time you wear them!)

The thighs are very ‘scooped’ out which drastically separates and slims the thighs and pushes the butt out creating a shapely silhouette.  The fading and shading pattern on the jeans creates an optical illusion front and back to slim the leg.  Additionally, barely-visible whiskering above the natural leg break tricks the eye into seeing longer legs (as opposed to most jeans with patterns that make the hips look wider and thighs bigger!  The cut is a ‘barely bootcut’ – this balances the shape of the thigh to the ankle making your thighs appear as slim as possible and legs as long as possible.I highly recommend Hello! Skinny Jeans.  They come in a variety of washes and 3 lengths of inseams. Prices start at $149. You can purchase Hello! Skinny Jeans at skinnyjeans.com

Try Flared Jeggings for a Jegging Twist

Do you love flared jeans?  Do you live in your jeggings?  How about combining the best of both for the ultimate jean experience.  Flared jeans are back, and jeggings are here to stay.  I recently bought a pair of flared jeggings and I LOVE them!  They have the suppleness and comfort of jeggings, as well as the no-fuss, no-fly, no button detailing, with the stylish edge of flared jeans that give you the feeling of more coverage and really more pairing options.  Flared jeggings work just as well with a shorter sweater or top as they do with a tunic or long sweater.  There’s just something “over exposed” about not covering your backside if you are wearing plain jeggings.

Express.com has a nice selection of Flared Jeggings starting at $59.90, and Shopstyle.com also has some great cuts and washes.

So if you’re not comfortable with super tight jeggings that really hug your leg, try the flared style for more comfort, or just a different look.

Trend Alert: Flared Denim for Fall 2010

You know what trend I can’t believe is back? Flared jeans! I never thought they would come back in style, but here they are! We’re seeing a lot of high waisted styles too, which I’m sure you ladies will be happy about.

More stores are carrying flared jeans now and at amazingly affordable prices so you won’t have to invest in a style that might not last more than a year or two. I personally don’t think this trend will last as long as skinny jeans have, but I could be wrong!

What do you think of flared jeans? Do you have any flared jeans already in your closet? If not, will you buy a pair to rock this Fall?
