Fantasy Jewelry Box Review

Between Fantasy Jewelry Box and Mimi’s the Look for Less, I have definitely got my jewelry needs under control. I had the opportunity to try (and fall in love with) a pair of earrings straight from the New Arrivals over at Fantasy Jewelry Box. I chose the Samura’s Bohemian Style Earrings because #1 I thought they looked like statement-worthy earrings and #2 I certainly thought that they were on trend to what the celebs and fashionistas seem to be wearing these days.

Did these earrings meet my expectations?

Why yes, yes they did. The earrings were bigger than I had imagined them being but that being said, I don’t consider that to be a disappointment (though when I put them on the man was like “Whoa, those are the biggest earrings you have ever worn!” which is a false statement but he is a guy so I let it slide). I wore them to work with a white maxi dress and gold flat sandals, ensuring that I was wearing the earrings, not the other way around. I received compliments from every girl at work. These earrings were not lost on anyone. So when I wanted a statement-worthy jewelry statement? Well, that is what I got.  I directed multiple co-workers to FantasyJewelryBox.com because I honestly would buy the place out if the man would let me!

Mimi’s Jewelry, The Look for Less

We have recently discovered the jewelry and accessory site, MimistheLook.com, where we frugal ladies can find lots of interesting and statement-worthy jewelry options that won’t break the bank. I don’t know about you ladies, but I can’t stand spending tons to look good, and my jewelry is no exception. Silver and Turquoise Stone Bangle Set

I opened my package and was really surprised at how substantial these bangles are. Not cheapy-cheap, these are definitely eye catching and can be worn separately, together, mixed and matched… whatevah! Imagine a great pair of jeans, espadrilles, a crisp white shirt? Simple and stylish with that pop of color that makes a low key outfit great. Cannot wait for these to be in my jewelry rotation!

Big and classy. These are the two words that first came to mind when I took a gander at these earrings. They look expensive without the designer price tag, holla! I knew exactly what to wear these with the second I laid eyes on these, and then I wore them. Hello TONS of compliments from all the girls I work with! Exactly what I wanted, more bang for the buck!

Make Statement Jewelry with Michaels Craft Store

Being a Lucky Magazine Style Blogger, I was given the opportunity to shop Michael’s with a complimentary $50 gift card to make a jewelry “statement piece” and show you what I designed!

I had shopped in Michael’s before but not in several years. I was absolutely shocked at the enormous variety of beads and jewelry making accessories they had!

We’re talking like 3 double sided isles of beads galore! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I had extensive experience with jewelry making during teenage years, oh so many years ago it seems, but I had never seen so many beads in my life….

It was a daunting task trying to choose the beads to make just ONE item. I was in the store with my 3 year old daughter and 9 month old son for almost 2 hours. It was a little bit of a living hell trying to think and pick out beads and keep my kids occupied, so I ended up buying more than I needed, spending over $100 getting beads and accessories…. enough to make at least 3 necklaces. Whoooops…..

Course once I got home, it was another thing entirely trying to find time to sit down by myself and actually MAKE something! lol It took me several days to find time, but I finally managed to design and build a really awesome necklace!

It’s got some pretty awesome black beads, vintage gold chains and baubles, and some other neat things. I think it’s way cool. Don’t you agree???

And here is what it looks like on me….

I’m really happy with my eclectic little creation and it took me about an hour to make after I selected the beads and everything. Teething Necklace from Smart Mom Jewelry

If you’re a mother, then you probably know how hard it is to wear jewelry around your younger children and toddlers. Either you’re afraid of your jewelry scratching their skin or you’re worried they will end up just ripping the darn thing right off you!
