Spring Essentials: Rembrandt Intense Stain Teeth Whitening

It’s no secret… I love coffee. And wine. And tea. And all those things you aren’t supposed to drink if you want pearly white teeth. If you’re like me, your teeth aren’t the first thing on your mind as you are going about your day. You do what you have to do, and then one day you look in the mirror or at a picture of yourself and go “OH MY GAWD! LOOK AT MY TEETH!”

During one of my recent photo shoots, I noticed that my smile was less than desirable… a shade of dinginess I was not proud of!

Thank goodness for Rembrandt Intense Stain Dissolving Strips! SO happy I got to review this product!

These new whitening strips from Rembrandt actually dissolve on your teeth in minutes, offer enamel safe whitening in just 2 weeks (with twice daily use) and works miracles on tough surface stains like coffee, tea, soda, red wine and smoking as well as new surface stains before they settle in and set up camp on your pearly whites.

Honestly, I can not remember to do ANYTHING twice a day so I haven’t been using these as often as I should, BUT I could see results after using them just ONCE! I was afraid that dissolving strips wouldn’t work as well, but they actually work better than the other whitening strips I reviewed back in early 2009 from another company. They actually took longer than the advertised 5-10 minutes to dissolve, which I was fine with. The first time I tried them out, I slapped them on my teeth before I sat down to watch some HGTV and unwind. They were still remnants of the strips on my teeth after about 45 mins, but I wasn’t talking or moving my mouth or anything, so maybe that’s why. I didn’t mind though. My teeth looked noticeably whiter after just one use. AND, best of all, my gums were not irritated. I normally have trouble using ANY whitening strips, toothpaste, etc because it irritates my sensitive gums. I haven’t had a problem with these strips yet, thankfully. Yet another reason why I can fully recommend them!

What better way to get ready for Summer than to brighten and whiten your smile?!

Gorgeous white teeth make any outfit look better… Your summer tan will look better too. This summer’s hottest trend is orange and let me tell ya, that is not flattering next to yellow teeth. Rembrandt Intense Stain Teeth Whitening strips can help you achieve a bright spring-to-summer look in just 2 weeks. At only $23/box you’ve got nothing to lose but those coffee stains!

Get The Look: Nautical Style For Summer

The nautical look is set to be one of the hottest trends this summer and has already hit the high street with lots of nautical themed goodies flooding stores everywhere. Personally, we’re huge fans of this look, so we thought we’d show you how you can stay on trend this summer without breaking the bank.

This look is characterised by nautical colour schemes (think white, red and blue), horizontal stripes and sailing themed accessories. The best thing is, it looks great on anyone. No matter what your age, shape or size, there’s something for everyone when it comes to this style. Another bonus is that unlike many hot trends out there, this is a truly casual look – meaning it’s the perfect choice for the day to day whether you’re quickly running to the store or picking the kids up from school.

Boat Shoes

Donning a pair of boat shoes is one way to easily add a nautical twist to any outfit. They’re a super stylish yet functional choice of footwear and look great with everything from dresses to jeans. There’s a huge range of choice out there when it comes to women’s boat shoes but we particularly love this pair by British deck shoe manufacturers, Chatham Marine (£49):

Stripes

If you’re looking to crack the nautical look this summer, then get ready to rock some stripes! Nothing says nautical better than striped top but it’s best to keep it simple. Team a simple striped t-shirt with a pair of white jeans or cropped pants to complete the look. We love this striped top by Boden ($38) but you’ll find something similar in most stores this season.

We think this top would go perfectly with these jeans from Topshop ($80):

A Splash Of Red

When we think nautical, we mainly think of blue and white but a really simple way to brighten up a nautical themed outfit is by adding a splash of red to your look. You can jazz up your outfit very easily by adding a neck scarf or teaming the rest of your look with a pair of red deck shoes.

We think this neck scarf from Macy’s ($21.99) is the perfect way to add that splash of colour to your outfit:

Nautical Themed Accessories

Complete the look by teaming your outfit with some carefully selected nautical accessories – think about adding an anchor pendant into the mix or nautical themed handbag.

Our top pick has to be this gorgeous tote bag from L.L. Bean ($29.95) – perfect for carrying around all life’s essentials whilst staying on trend.

That’s all for now but hopefully you’re now all clued up on how to get the nautical look just right this summer from head to toe.

Today’s Outfit: Foxcroft Plaid & Gingham Check Shirt

First off, I am in love with this shirt from Foxcroft Collection! It’s a double layered button down that is very versatile for spring and summer! I’ve never had a shirt quite like this before and I’m really impressed with the styling and fit as well as the quality. It’s very well made! I also love that it’s long enough to wear as a tunic with some leggings or you can button it up and tuck it into jeans or a skirt. Or for a more casual look you can tie it at the waist, like so…

Cute, right?! It’s a great “weekend” shirt paired with distressed skinny jeans rolled up and some cute wedges (as shown above). You could also easily wear it with shorts either tucked in or tied at the waist. It could also double as your swimsuit cover up at the pool. (It’s also available in plus sizes!)

You can enter our Foxcroft Collection Giveaway for a chance to win a gorgeous blouse in your size choice! Two winners!! Enter now >>

I got these Ralph by Ralph Lauren Women’s 0RA4004 Aviator Sunglasses about a year ago and I was unsure how I would feel about aviator sunglasses at first… I mean, Carrie Bradshaw can pull off this look, but can I?! Well, I don’t even care. I put them on this Spring and haven’t taken them off since. I absolutely love them! They are one of the only pairs of sunglasses I own that actually block all of the sun, fit well, stay on and are comfortable. Looking “cool” is just a bonus.

I believe I originally got them from Frames Direct but you can also purchase them on Amazon.com, Macys.com, eBay.com and you can find them in Sears.

Today I am wearing an orange floral cardigan from Foxcroft Collection. It’s part of their new Spring line and can be purchased on Amazon.com. It’s really nice and soft, the shape is very flattering, the color is amazing and it’s the perfect way to bring orange into your Spring wardrobe!

Ralph by Ralph Lauren Women’s 0RA4004 Aviator Sunglasses and I love them. I wear them all the time. And I just noticed they come in pink and now I want them…. You can purchase them on Amazon.com and Macys.com.

Now these shoes I am totally in love with… I question whether they go well with this outfit, but I didn’t really care today because I was so anxious to wear them!!!! They are Bumper Goer Glitter Oxford Flats in black that I got for $10 on Zulily.com during a Spring shoe blowout sale. They are surprisingly comfortable although I don’t expect to wear them often because they aren’t the highest quality shoes in the world… They are super cute and unique though and will add a certain something to the outfits I wear them with. If you’re looking for a cheap, unique oxford for your spring wardrobe, I recommend them! I left a review of them on Amazon and uploaded an extra pic if you want to check it out here!

The Look For Less: Diane Kruger’s Balenciaga Blue Dress

Diane Kruger looked gorgeous in cute short sleeved Balenciaga blue, white and black printed dress with draping around the hips to define the waist. I like the shape of her dress and the polka dot tights are wicked cute. Don’t worry ladies, there is no need to spend the big bucks to get the look!

Today’s Outfit: Tunic & Marika Miracles Slimming Capri

I got this super cool Shu Shu Orange Abstract Graffiti Tunic on ZULILY for only $24.99 (Originally $75). I don’t have much for orange in my wardrobe so this is me sticking my big toe into the water! It isn’t “orange” but it has enough orange in it to make me feel like I’m trying out the “orange trend” which is super popular for Spring 2012.

I didn’t think this tunic would be so huge on me when I bought it! On the model, it looked like a regular tunic… on me, it looks like a dress! I like it though because it’s a very comfy, stretchy material but it’s lightweight and airy for hot summer days. I’m wearing it with Marika Miracles Slimming Capris that have built in shapewear that slim your tummy and thighs. These capris feature power mesh on the side panels and on the waistband for compression and support, breathable gusset lining to keep you dry. I wanted them in a medium, but they sent me size small. To my surprise, they fit perfect and sucked everything in nicely without being too tight or uncomfortable. I love them!
