November 2nd, 2009 at 4:46 pmThe Croc of Q Linda Clutch in Poppy. I just begun building a real wardrobe. (Bye-bye over-size t-shirts and mom jeans). I only have one clutch/evening bag. A fabulous black silk vintage clutch that was my Grandmother’s. Anyway with the holiday’s approaching I have parties and evening events coming up this bag would provide a fabulous ‘pop’ to some of my evening outfits. Seasonally appropriate color without making me look like I’m trying to be a Christmas tree. With the detatchable shoulder strap added on it will look fabulous with black jeans, stiletto boots, and a slightly revealing blouse for those all too rare dancing date nights.

The closest I’ve ever gotten was knock-offs in Chinatown, and that’s not very close at all! So I’d love to have a *real* Marc Jacobs to call my own, ideally the Totally Turnlock Percy Bag in tealish color. I’ve been looking for a good-sized bag I can strap across my body, especially since winter is just around the corner. (Ever notice how bulky winter coats cause shoulder-strap bags to slide right off? That’s why I need one to sling across like a messenger bag!) So it’s a utilitarian take-it-anywhere kind of bag while still being trendy and one-of-a-kind–what more can you ask for?!

But my favorite style is the Classic Q Drawstringy Satchel, it is so gorgeous, and the color is perfect. I’d wear it everywhere, to parties, to the movies, even to the market.. anywhere I can show it off! I’d wear it with anything but I especially see myself wearing it with jeans, my high heeled boots, and anything for a top, like a cardigan or something. I’m in college so I’d be thrilled to win this gift card since I have so many expenses this year. Thanks so much for this contest!! I looked around Shopbop and they have awesome stuff!

I have always been a fan of Marc Jacobs and when I found out years ago that he had a lower priced line Marc by Marc I was so excited because I could finally own something from this fabulous designer!
When I went to New York for the first time with my family, my dad knew what a fan I was and he surprised me and my sisters by taking us to the store on Bleeker Street. It was such a fun experience!! Of course, my dad loves to window shop, which in my opinion is NOT shopping, but I was just so happy that he thought of me and took me to the store! Now everytime I visit New York I HAVE to make a stop at Bleeker Street and pop in to see what wonderful creations are there. And last time I went, I actually bumped into Daniel Vosovic from Project Runway! I have always had good experiences at and with Marc by Marc Jacobs and I really hope that I could win this so that I could buy this amazing bag. Thank you for the opportunity! -

This bag is so me. If I could have my own design made…this bag would be it. I love the size…big enough for my own items plus a few items for my two year old. The color (Clementine) is fabulous and the quilted logo lettering gives it status without being in your face! I love the double knott detail on the handles . Classy but casual! This bag is so versatile. It is the perfect addition to any woman’s wardrode. -

I’m in the middle of trying to lose weight so I’m trying not to buy any clothes. Luckily, bags always fit. No matter how I’m feeling, Marc’s bags (I own one already… Dr. Q Groovee Satchel in Grape. My favorite) always, always, always make me feel better. The tactile stimulation of his leather is amazing and soothing, like a dog but without the allergic reaction. I would love to own this bag and the $100 giftcard means I would immediately order it as the price is the only thing keeping me from buying it right now.

Loose tee under a fitted blazer, skinny jeans and a pretty scarf.. and dangling a beautiful Marc Jacobs bag from my arm. I probably wouldn’t have the perfectly tousled hair or name brand boots and sunglasses, but the Marc Jacobs bag would TOTALLY make the outfit.

A. Ha! Trick question! However, I was able to narrow it down to “My Top 3 Most Coveted MJ Bags This Season From ShopBop.com”.
1. Pretty Nylon Printed Tate Tote in Sand Dune Multi – It just screams “BUY ME!”. Seriously, not fair because when I look away, I can only think of its interior MJ black & white emblem fabric print juxtaposed with its cream croc-print exterior. If only I had that $100 ShopBop.com gift certificate, it would be mine for $98!! What a steal!
2. Of course the GrandDaddy of them all – the Petal to the Metal Evie Bag. The name alone scores points with me, but then what is this?? It comes in 2 colors? Rust and Niagara Blue, you don’t say! I prefer the Rust. The gold zipper & buckle details really stand out with the color, and the interior is very hippie chic – a lovely navy blue and sierra paisley pattern. This bag is a perfect Autumn accessory and would pair well with my thousands of R&R jeans!
3. Sorry I really couldn’t help myself, but it’s really hard to pick 1, just one, MJ bag to gush about. Pretty Nylon Tate Tote in Normandy Blue Multi. It’s such a statement accessory, but yet so casual. The colors alone will get you noticed when shouldering this bag. Not to mention, the tied handles at top and the gorgeous-colorful-quilted patterns make it another hippie chic must-have. And it must be duly noted – the pockets on the side for easy access and storage of personal items such as cell phone, lip gloss, etc.

Marc may design classics, but he also defines what it means to be young at heart. That’s why I would style my favourite Totally Turnlock Percy slingbag in Ink Blue for a festival, in muddy riding boots and a Brigid Katiis printed romper. And I would dance all night to my favourite song. Because that’s what Marc would want me to do!

I chose the Turnlock Aidan in Ink Blue because… well, it reminds me of jeans. And to make it stand out, I went for all nude colors.
But, a girl can’t ignore her denim, so I threw in my dream pair, and I matched the nail polish (Dior Vernis) to the bag. Voila! Instant, effortless glamour!

What do I love about this bag? I love that I can instantly dress up any look with this fabulous bag. If I have this bag slung over my shoulder, I can go to the grocery store in my sweats or the gym in my workout gear and still feel like I look chic. A Marc by Marc Jacobs bag can not a fail a girl. I’ll feel fabulous no matter what I wear, as long as I have this bag.

I love how you can hand carry it or add the long strap and sling it over your shoulders. I’ve daydreamed about carrying that bag and rocking a black leather motorcycle jacket, pair of dark skinny jeans and some killer ankle boots. I would be out and about grabbing a cup of coffee and I’d run in my dream guy. He would compliment my bag, offer to pay for my coffee, and then ask me out to a date. Lol…. BEST DAY DREAM EVER!

And it will look great on my when I have my tot in tow (and all her toddler things that go everywhere with us!!)! The colors and the animals (especially the bird,mouse and raccoon) will make me so very popular with my toddler and will be fodder for countless stories and antics to keep her entertained while I am trying to get my holiday shopping done!! I’ve never seen a bag like it before! Something with entertainment value for my toddler and also a bag for me! Amazing and inventive!!! The high quality leather, size and style will put me in heaven

From the versatility of using the handle or the strap, to the deep rich shade of purple, there is nothing that I don’t like about this bag. The sumptuous feel of the leather and the nipped in “waist” just makes me lust for this bag. This bag that would be seen on the arm of a celebrity, but not appreciated as much as it would be by me. This bag, that would hold all my treasures in undeniable style. This bag, that I would break a commandment to covet. If I go to hell for that so be it. It would be heaven on earth for me to own that bag

I can dress up and down when I wear a marc by marc jacobs bag. i love how i can throw on a pair of jeans, a plain top, and boots grab my purse and still look classy! its every girls dream!
my personal favorite would be the marc by marc jacobs dr.q hillier hobo! its so versatile and doesn’t go over board with tacky logo/symbols which i love! simple and so chic! i encourage all ladies to snag their own marcbymarc!!

November 14th, 2009 at 10:40 pmMy favorite of the bags is the Pretty Nylon Tate Tote in Parsnip Multi. Why? Because at 30% off its an affordable $138.60 (originally $198) and a $100 gift card would take a nice chunk off that price. And of course its not just the price thats appealing, its the whole bag in general. Just look at it… the print is colorful and fun and being made out of nylon (vs. leather like most of the other Marc handbags) its nice and lightweight. Right now I’m using one of the Marc Jacobs special items $10 tote bags for my school books, but the tate tote would be absolutely perfect for bringing along with me to school. That being said, I’d style this with anything! A nice floral boho style print dress to complement the print on the bag or a nice set of basics like a casual slouchy shirt with jeans shorts to make the color of the bag really pop. The print on the bag is so gorgeous and flattering to just about any outfit.. super in love with it!
I love Shopbop because they always carry such a great selection of handbags and on top of that always have the best sales! I’ve purchased from them more times than I can count and have always been 100% satisfied with their service and the products they sell. Although I have some Marc in my personal collection of clothing and accessories, I’ve yet to purchase a Marc item from Shopbop! Please let this one be the first

Unemployment is no fun but having a great bag to put my portfolio and business cards in to carry to job interviews would be great! My suits range from black to navy to a tweedy brown but my purse is drab and old. Carrying the Classic Q Aidan bag would bring my outfit to life and make a great impression on a potential boss.
