Chocolat Special Hair Care Line

Restore your hair’s natural velvety shine and splendor with Chocolat Special. Uniquely formulated with Cocoa Butter and Brazil Nut oils, Chocolat Special revitalizes and restores moisture to hair damaged by the sun, hair dye or other chemical treatments. And with its alluring chocolat fragrance, Chocolat Special is a treat for those who believe in self-indulgence. Treat yourself to Chocolat Special. You deserve it.

I was recently asked to review nuNAAT’s “Chocolat Special,” a line of products which contained shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, and an anti-frizz styling product. I could never turn down anything with chocolate in it…

nuNAAT’s Chocolat Special line is designed to restore chemically treated hair’s natural velvety shine and splendor as the unique formula contains Cocoa Butter and Brazil Nut oils to revitalize and restore moisture.

And if you love chocolate but are watching your waist-line, this is a great way to indulge! Each product smells like the inside of a fancy chocolate shop and will send your senses swirling everytime you use it. I was impressed with the heavenly scent of the products before I even had a chance to use them!

Chocolat Creamy Shampoo – $6.49

The shampoo is a warm caramel color that produces a nice, rich lather and send you on a tropical retreat with it’s heavenly scent. Used alone, without the conditioner, it’s still moisturizing enough to combat frizz and leave hair feeling super soft and silky.

Chocolat Shake Conditioner – $6.59

The conditioner is a dark brown and resembles a rich chocolate ganache. This one strengthens hair, while bringing back shine, softness, and manageability, all of which is definitely did to my hair. I could not believe how soft and silky my hair was when I was finished styling it!

Chocolat Cream Mask – $6.99

Formulated with Cocoa Butter and Brazil Nut oils, Chocolat Cream Mask provides a deep and restorative conditioning to hair that may have been amaged by the sun or chemical treatments. It says to use weekly by massaging a generous portion into your hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Then rinse. I assume you put it on wet hair, so I shampooed my hair once, then applied the mask to my wet hair while still in the shower. I then proceeded to waste the time away by shaving my legs, using a body scrub on my whole body, and a pumice stone on my feet. Before I knew it, 20 minutes was up and I was ready to rinse and get out of the shower!

Chocolat Anti-Frizz Therma Active – $7.49

Formulated to reduce frizz, the Chocolat Special Anti frizz is activated upon styling with a blow dryer, or straightening iron. Just apply evenly on wet hair and begin styling. I found this one to be a bit sticky, making it difficult for use with the flat iron. However I think this one would be great for anyone who blowdries their hair straight with a big round brush, or you care-free ladies who let your hair air dry.

Hair Profile: A rich red-auburn color, a little longer than shoulder length at the moment, wispy razor cut bangs, and all over layering. While my hair itself is thin and breaks easily, I have a LOT of it. I have so much hair, that it is impossible for me to have it all cut to one length because it bushes out a frazzled paint brush. The cut I have right now is layered in such a way to encourage the natural waves I have.

The first time I used the nuNAAT shampoo & conditioner, I applied the anti-frizz cream to my towel dried hair and then blow dried my hair with a difusser like I normally do. I usually try to encourage the natural waves in my hair to curl I found that the anti-frizz was kinda working against me on that one. If you have naturally curly, permed or frizzy hair, I think you’ll get great results with this product though.

Next time I took a shower, I only use the shampoo and the conditioner, towel dried my hair and let it air dry. This time I found my hair to be incredibly soft, silky, and smooth.

In short, I think nuNAAT is an affordable, effective and heavenly smelling line of hair care products. If you are unhappy with your current hair care regime, switch it up and see what chocolate can do for your hair! If you’re not convinced, try their sample pack for $1.00.
