You Just Can’t Keep Hating Uggs

I went to Boston last week and I got a lot of fashion cues from seeing what the average city girls were wearing as they casually strut down the sidewalks… One thing I couldn’t help but notice is that like 1 in every 4 or 5 gals were wearing Ugg boots or a similar style thereof. Unbelievable! And it’s not even snowing…. So clearly the sumptuous sheepskin boots have committed fans that couldn’t hardly wait to pull them out of their closet.
Celebrities love them too!
So why is it, that us pompous fashionista’s turn our nose up at these warm booties? Their comfy, warm, somewhat affordable, and celebrities and Bostonian’s are wearing them. I mean, what are we waiting for? Do we really need to see Anna Wintour wearing a pair before we’ll buy them?
I think it’s time to consider these fur-lined beauties as a winter 2008-2009 essential.

Fuzzy shearling lined boots are so cute and sooo comfy! I live in mine…anyone know how to keep my jeans from getting bunchy and riding up? Plus…my boots are tall and it’s impossible to my jeans stuffed down into them…so uncomfortable!

OMG every time I walk by a girl wearing Uggs when it’s 60 degrees out I want to cry. But you’re SO right! I mean, given the right outfit, they do look cute. And yeah, they’re comfortable and warm. But please ladies, if it’s 40 degrees out, it’s not okay to wear the shortest mini skirt you own with a pair of Uggs and no leggings. I don’t care how warm your feet are; your legs have got to be freezing!!!
Thanks for the faux options on the UGGS. I’ve wanted a pair for awhile, but balk at the cost b/c they are so, um, ugly! LOL But it would be nice to have a pair to wear while running errands over some cute skinny jeans:-)

I love, love, love my uggs! I spend most of the year (with the exception of the warm months) wearing them and have to buy a new pair every year and a half. To me the cost is worth it – I think this year I will get some new insoles since some places just sell the insoles.
Okay, a few years ago when they first came out i hated the look of them and had to close my eyes everytime i saw someone wearing UGGs coming my way and i admit i rather bump into a lamp post than look at them. But then i tried them on and omg Comfort over Style and then i purchased a pair and the rest is history
Either people love them or hate them, i have still to meet a person who says yeah i dont mind Uggs. The mens version failed to really take off in the UK, i think ive only ever seen 2 people where them (men). Personally love them and just feels like you’re walking on a cushion.
I sure would like to try a pair! I guess I’ll put this on my Christmas List!

Uggs are great, love to see practicable comfortable items become high fashion and give us a break from killing ourselves in the name of fashion.
With other brands of boots, you might have to choose one pair for your entire winter, because they are much too expensive. However, UGG Boots are affordable, so if you want to, you can choose more than one pair for your winter wear.

When I first saw women wearing these shoes I was like…O…K…because they look like Eskimo shoes. But after wearing a pair, I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were. Nice website.
