Fight Hunger & Win a $50 Gift Card for Macy’s!

Macy’s has launched COME TOGETHER, an innovative awareness and fundraising campaign that aims to feed 10 million people suffering from hunger.
COME TOGETHER invites the public to rally around the cause by hosting special dinners in their homes and asking their guests to pledge a donation to Feeding America. In return, Macy’s will match these donations dollar-for-dollar until the total goal of 10 million meals is reached.
To get involved the public may participate in three ways Host, Give and Shop.
- HOST- Friends and families across the country can host dinner parties from casual to formal, send invitations and manage party details including themes and recipes on www.macys.com/cometogether. In lieu of bringing traditional host gifts, guests are suggested to make a donation to Feeding America.
- GIVE – Donate $1 directly at any Macy’s register, one dollar provides dinner for seven.
- SHOP - Macy’s customers can shop for the cause and get special savings in-store on October 17, when Macy’s hosts a national Shop For A Cause day. A portion of the $5 in-store ticket sales will benefit Feeding America.

I think it’s great to see a large corporation stepping in to help with such a big problem plaguing people; it’s refreshing to see them put some of their profits to good use. I doubt I’d host a party but perhaps might pop in the store on Oct. 17. Thanks!

I think it’s a wonderful campaign, and hope more companies will follow Macys example. I plan on doing some Christmas shopping that day.

Great campaign and great timing given it’s the season of dinner parties and eating. Shopping at Macy’s hardly seems like a sacrifice though!

i think its great that big corps are doing something to make a diff. i would def drop by macys to shop for a good cause. macys is the only dept store i have a credit card for. thanks for a wonderful giveaway!

What a wonderful way for Macy’s to bring awareness to sage a huge problem. I think it is inspiring to motivate people to “get involved” and am loving the dinner party idea! I think I will have to do this for sure!

I think this is fabulous- Macy’s is a huge househould name and this idea is a great way to be involved. I will def shop at Macy’s due to this charitable involvement! Wasn’t this on Top Chef’s episode last night too?

I was at my Macy’s when they started this campaign and the guy behind the table was really nice…offering food, drink and more info about it. i think that’s the first line to break because you have to put a human being to it and not just make it this broad cause. I bought and donated that night. Every time I’ve gone to Macy’s since I’ve donated a dollar at the checkout. Not much, but it is “local” cause that I fell I am actually helping.
