Max Factor – MAXwear Lipcolor

Got some new lipstick ladies!!! Max Factor’s new MAXwear lipcolor.

First, I read several reviews before trying it out. Some positive and some were negative. Overall, I have to say that I was impressed. I’ve tried several types of lipsticks in my lifetime, and this was definitely one of my better experiences.

I tried lipstick combo #360 “Chartreuse Blend” and it was way too dark for me! I have very pale skin, so it wasn’t the best color choice. I felt like my lips were the focus of my entire face.

As for the lipstick itself, I was definitely impressed with the quality.

NOTE: I recommend putting some sort of chap stick or lip balm on about 15 minutes beforehand as to avoid the dryness that stay-on lipsticks tend to create. I also recommend using a lip liner in a similar color.

When I applied the lipstick, it went on smooth. I let it dry for about 30-45 seconds and then I applied the lip gloss at the other end of the tube. I was a little apprehensive, as it was a lime green color, but was delighted to see the results. (See picture to right)

This lipstick is definitely fighting for first place with my favorite, Maybelline “Superstay Lipcolor”.

The other color combo I tried was #600 “Spit Personality”. That color was MUCH better for me! It’s just a few shades darker than my natural lip color.

I think the only thing I would complain about is the thickness of the gloss and it is difficult to apply the lipstick and “stay in the lines” with the sponge applicator. Makes it kinda tricky to apply the darker colors. I think you can probably use a different lip gloss on top if you wanted. I like Sally Hansen lip gloss best.

I’m looking forward to trying out a few more colors. Some other colors I would like to try are “Work-Out Nude”, “Bronzed Goddess”, “Mauve Mystic” and “Cinnamon & Sugar”.
