The biggest trend for Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 is Military styled outfits. I’m loving how easy this stylish trend will be to incorporate into my current wardrobe.
Look for slim cargo pants, army green and dusty gray colors, military styled jackets and vests, tailored shirts and slouchy slim pants.
Don’t be afraid of slouchy slim pants. They are neither slim nor baggy – they’re both! A flattering look for slim girls as well as those with an hourglass or pear shaped figure. Be careful if you’re an apple shape and round shaped or thicker waisted ladies should avoid these pants and opt for straight leg cargos with a bit of stretch in them. (Read more about Body Shape)

You can easily make this trend work appropriate by swapping out the pants for a slim pencil skirt

I, too, am struggling with the skinny cargo look. Who can it possibly be flattering on? The cargo pockets usually sit on the fullest part of the thigh and if they are tight, just make the leg look disporportionatly big. I don’t know about you, but that’s a part of my leg I would rather not call attention to!
