Product Review: Perfective Ceuticals Anti-Imperfection Eye Therapy with Growth Factor
By the time you reach 30, it’s smart to consider proactive anti-aging skincare. I’ve been lucky and haven’t developed many wrinkles yet, but I struggle with undereye circles and puffiness, so I was excited to try Perfective Ceuticals Anti-Imperfection Eye Therapy. It uses something called “Growth Factor” to treat intrinsic aging (your skin’s genetic tendency to lose elasticity) as well as environmental effects from sun exposure and pollution.
So what is Growth Factor? Apparently a lot of things, including a chain of amino acids and healthy amounts of Vitamins A and E, and they all work together to fortify your skin’s protein. Perfective Ceuticals claims that only Botox delivers more results.
After using Anti-Imperfection Eye Therapy morning and night as directed for four weeks, there’s some noticeable improvement—particularly regarding the puffiness issue. It’s been at least two weeks since I’ve woken up with scary StayPuff marshmallow eyes!
I’ve also noticed some improvement in my skin’s texture. There seemed to be a subtle difference on my face, so as an experiment, I rubbed a tiny bit into my elbows (one of my roughest areas). I used just the tiniest dab for a few days, and my elbows are now baby soft. (Just for the record, I wouldn’t recommend this in general since you probably don’t want to spend $90 on an elbow cream, but it was a worthwhile experiment).
And while it doesn’t technically make for a better product, I appreciate the elegant, well-considered packaging. I particularly like the design of the pump, which lies flat when it’s not in use. This is a lifesaver during traveling, since it’s awful to unpack your suitcase and realize your moisturizer has spilled everywhere. As an added bonus, it has a cool twist-pump design that distributes just the right amount of cream into your palm each time. So there’s no wasting!
One thing to keep in mind: Perfective Ceuticals has a very rich texture—even for an eye cream. If you’re like me and could literally take a bath in lotion, you’ll like it. If you are prone to oiliness, though, or are sensitive to anything that feels heavy, it’s probably too much.
And at $90, it sounds like a splurge, but realistically, for an aggressive anti-aging eye moisturizer in this class, it’s priced very reasonably. Plus, Perfective Ceuticals is currently offering 20% off and free shipping, so if you’re looking to turn back the clock, this just could be the perfect time to try it.
