Get Squeaky Clean With Sunfeather Natural Soap

soapSunFeather Natural Soap Company was founded in a farm house kitchen in 1979 with $15 and a big dream to create a superior bar of soap. Today SunFeather is a thriving, FUN, & socially responsible micro business that offers artisan bath and beauty products made from natural ingredients.

I recently got the opportunity to try out a couple products from Sunfeather. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never heard of the company before.

They sent me Gardener’s Hand Cream and Organic Olive Oil Liquid Soap. At first glance, I thought the Organic Olive Oil Liquid Soap was like hand soap or something since it was in a little pump bottle. Upon closer inspection (ie. reading the back of the bottle) I realized it was a all over body cleansing soap that promised to “soften your skin like no other soap ever has”. I thought that was a pretty bold claim and was anxious to put it to the test.

For centuries, Mediterranean beauties have relied on olive oil to help maintain good health, a fresh, dewy complexion, lustrous hair, and more. This pure and simple unscented soap is made with organic olive and coconut oils. You’d think it would be greasy, but it’s not and it leaves your skin soft and smooth. I love the smell, the kind of suds it makes, and it rinses off really nicely. It left my skin squeaky clean, really soft and ph balanced. And don’t worry, you don’t smell like a Greek salad afterwards!!

handcreamI am no gardener, so I questioned if I had any use for the Gardener’s Hand Cream. It said it contained moisturizing aloe vera, shea butter, and olive oil so I decided to give it a try. I think the worst thing I do in a day to my hands is doing a sink load of dishes and my hands up pretty dry and yucky feeling afterwards. Perfect time to try a new hand cream!

The cream looks thick in the jar, but as soon as it touches your skin, it melts. I can’t put my finger on it, but I think it’s the lemon oil that makes this hand cream smell so wonderful. The Gardener’s Hand Cream is $13 for a 4 oz jar, but a little goes a long way. I have it in my kitchen next to the sink now and after I am finished doing the dishes, I massage it into my hands to restore the moisture that the dish detergent removed.
