I’m Loving Newport News Right Now!

I don’t know where Newport News has been all my life! I had heard of it before, but I never spent much time on their website or browsing through their catalog. About 3 weeks ago, I was looking at bras on Amazon.com and somehow find myself looking at dresses. (You know how that happens…) So I am looking around at all these gorgeous dresses and find out they are all from Newport News and seriously on sale!

So I went directly to their website and got lost for several hours… Wowee!

I ended up buying 8 things, 7 of which were on sale. Here is an actual pic of my order…

1. The print gauze pareo is really chic. Chic pareo cover-up in crinkled cotton gauze camouflages thighs and rear. Just what we’re ALL looking for!

I paid $3.99 for mine, but it was just reduced to $2.99 on Thursday. Originally it was $17.00!!!

2. The Leopard-print bikini is so cute. I paid $3.99 for mine, but they were just reduced to $2.99 on Thursday because they only have size 4 left. So if that’s your size, grab this quick! I got a size 6 and it fits perfect and is very cute on.

3. The Black Slimming Bikini is really nice as well. Bust-enhancing molded underwire cups. Adjustable straps. Mid-cut bottom provides full back coverage.

I paid $9.99 for mine, but this one was also just reduced to $8.99. It was originally $29.00! That is just such a deal.

4. The V-neck dress I actually wore yesterday. It’s shirred at shoulders and waist for a drapey look and flattering fit. Supple and smooth jersey-knit rayon with spandex for stretch comfort. Pull-on styling.

I paid $19.00 for it and now it’s been reduced to only $15.00!! That’s soooo not fair… Well, I still got a good deal on it because it was originally $39.00!

5. The Shape fx® Seamless shimmer thong that I ordered didn’t actually arrive. They sent the Shape fx® Seamless shimmer bikini panty instead. That’s ok I guess. It’s still really cute and fits great.

Both the thong and the panty was $12.00 but are now on sale for $4.00. What a deal!

6. The Shape fx® Ultimate-control bike shorts are fantastic, but run big (surprisingly). Ultimate-control bike shorts provide superior all-over slimming for a sleek shape and well-toned look.

These are regularly $49.00, but are on sale right now for $15.00. Really good deal! The Shape fx® High-waist shaper short are also on sale and only $14.00. I almost bought those…

I don’t remember how much it said it cost originally, but it’s on sale for $11.00. They have size Small and Medium now. When I bought it, they only had size large. It’s too big for me, but I thought for that price I could just take it in. Now I’m wondering if I should buy a small and send the large one back…

8. The Floaty georgette tunic coverup is the most expensive thing I bought, but totally worth it! I love it! I posted about it in my Swimsuit Coverups For The Beach post.

Tunic top with open bateau neckline, sash ties at the waist. It’s really flattering and I am really pleased. It was originally $39.00 and right now it’s on sale for $20.00.

Now here’s the good part… My Merchandise Total came to $86.97, but I saved $17.39 by using RetailMeNot.com. That website is just about the most fantastic thing I have ever seen!

There were a million coupon codes to use on Newport News and I used one of them that gave me free shipping and handling plus 15% off my whole order… AND IT WORKED!

Since then, Newport News has unfortunately requested to have all user contributed coupons removed from the RetailMeNot system, so you can’t find many good coupon codes anymore. BUT, I found a few here and here. Stupidly, I didn’t write down which coupon code I used and which one actually worked, so you’ll just have to try them out yourself.
