I have really long hair with no style whatsoever. Its so plain! I want to give it a new style that would make it look flirty but still keeping it long. Any ideas? I was thinking layered or scene style.

I am a hairstylist, and would love to give you ladies a reply to your posted comments. For long straight hair, try using any velcro rollers while your hair is still damp. It gives nice body, and definately helps that hard to work with straight hair. As for Jenny, the bob has made its way back, using katie holmes as an example. The "Posh" Victoria Beckam hair cut needs to make its way out. Everyone has that cut!! Heavy bangs are SO in. You could try the heavy fringe to spice your bob up a bit. So many people do not know how to work with their hair. A nice cut should be achieved to your hair texture, length and density. Talk to your stylist and see what she thinks what complements your hair. Hope the adviced helped!!

I too am interested in trendy hairstyles for short, straight hair. I have the classic soccer mom "bob" and would really like some exciting advice for a new style or cut.

My lucky accident: I thought I, too, had straight hair until I got a long layered cut and let it dry naturally, using a wide tooth comb. My stylist blow dries it straight but when I try, it looks mousy, especially with the layers. When i walked in for my next appt. with waves, he couldn't believe it and says my hair is "in." If I dry it while wearing a thin plastic/tortoise shell hairband, I get that 30s wave once I take it off and part my hair on the side.

Any advice for girls with super straight hair? I've tried everything from curling irons to hot rollers and nothing seems to stick. I don't wan to turn to a perm or a head full of hair spray, but I don't seem to have any other alternatives
