They are soft and comfortable. But most of all, they are simply stylish without being totally overboard or ugly.

Fashionable Housewife, I love you. Don’t confuse my hate for those shoes with my true feelings for you. I’m just turned 19 (which maybe has something to do with my current shoe angst?) and I still read your blog religiously. Fit flops will soon be mine!
I need some shoes to wear on campus in the fall that won’t break my bank though! *hint hint*

No, they are ugly, and make so sense. What is the use of open back shoes, if they are lined with some furry substance? If it is cold enough to need shoes lined with a furry substance, then one needs backs on their shoes. It is like sleeveless turtlenecks!
