Review And Swatches of Tarte EyeQuatic Summer Set
This colorful eye-quatic collection has everything you need for balmy summer days. It includes three new, mermaid-inspired lock & roll creaseless cream & powder shadow duos, a deluxe mini Lights, Camera, Lashes! waterproof mascara, and a free mod-chic head scarf. These basics are sure to make a splash in your beauty routine this summer!!
The three different color shadows are perfect for creating a bunch of different hot summer looks. I’m totally loving the Lock & Roll Creaseless Eyeshadows. The set comes with Lavender, Teal and Champagne and I’ve been wearing a different color every day this week.
On Monday, I got brave and decided to try the Teal Lock & Roll Creaseless Eyeshadows. If you know me, you know I don’t normally go for such BRIGHT colors! I’m a neutrals gal – browns, golds, beiges… So slapping teal eyeshadow on is pretty much totally out of character for me…
However, after running around with it all day, I think I kinda like it! It’s not so bad afterall. Check it out…
So what do you think?? Too bright?? I posted a twitpic on Monday when I took these pics and The Fashionable Gal loved it!

I didn’t both putting on any foundation, so excuse my horrible complexion. However, I am wearing another Tarte product: Rise & Shine Plumping Lip Stain in NEW Berrylicious, a warm blackberry mauve color that is perfect for Summer!
If you haven’t heard of Tarte Rise & Shine before, it’s a gel-based tint for lips on one end and a lip-plumping gloss on the other end. The vanilla flavored gloss gives the appearance of fuller lips, for a pout that’s pretty and polished. And what’s really nice is even after the gloss wears off, the lip tint remains.

Are you kidding?? You complexion is amazing! I am so jealous. That teal shadow is beautiful, especially with the lip stain and your hair color. It does seem a little bright for day, but as I would probably wear it during the day, it’s totally pull-offable. It’s definitely a nice little unexpected twist to anyone’s style, especially if you usually only wear unassuming colors (like me).
I really like that lip color. Did you find the plumping effects especially noticeable?
Thanks for putting up pics. I’ve been trying to find swatches of this actually on someone’s eyelids. Also, we have the same skin tone, so this is really helpful! Do you think the teal would work with green eyes?

Hi! Thanks for your lovely comment!!
The plumping effects aren’t huge, but enough to fill in little lines and make lips more smooth. I have pretty good size lips and they end up getting lots of lines, a la Angelina Jolie, so I need plumpers to fill in the lines and make em look more smooth. This one definitely does that.
I think you could totally wear this color if you have green eyes. It’s teal, so it’s a little blue and a little green, so I think it would look good with both.
I have the purple one too, but haven’t posted pics yet. Interested?

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I’d love to see the other colors.
