Spring Trend Alert – Colorblocking

Colorblocking appeared everywhere on spring runways, and it’s easy to see why – the colorful mix of complimentary shades packs a powerful punch this season. Despite how intimidating colorblocking may seem, it’s really quite easy to tackle this trend.

The key to pulling off colorblocking is to mix two or three shades that pair well together, such as a peach cardigan with a green skirt. If trying to pair vibrant shades from different color families together scares you, you can pick shades from the same color palette to make this look easier to wear, such as cobalt with navy or red with pink.

To pull the look together, keep your accessories neutral. You can also opt for a neutral base, such as pants, with a more vibrant top and shoes. Provided there’s some type of neutral theme to tie the outfit together, you can’t go wrong.
