You Need To Try The New Fragrance Collection By Glade

I’m such a huge fan of Febreze, I almost felt like I was being a traitor to even consider giving Glade a fair chance… but after trying out the new Scented Reed Diffuser and fabulous Soy Based Candle, I’m glad I did.

I wanted to try the Earthly Awakenings scent because it sounded really natural, which is what I like. I tend to stay away from fruity smells as much as possible. I’m more of a patchouli / musk / sandalwood kind of gal…

The good people at SC Johnson let me try the Earthly Awakenings Soy Based Candle and the Lotus Bamboo Reed Diffuser. I saw a couple commercials for their new Fragrance Collection and was really looking forward to seeing it perform.

The Soy Candle: Strong scent, but not overbearing. Enough fragrance to fill the entire room within about 20-30 minutes and when I have visitors over, they always comment about how nice the house smells… It’s slow burning which is really nice… I had it lit for like 6 hours and it only burned down about 1/4 inch. I wasn’t as crazy about the Earthly Awakenings scent as I thought I would be. I would like it better if it smelled a little bit more… organic.

The Reed Diffuser: Very strong scent. Pick the right fragrance because this one fills the room quickly and stays around for a long time. I personally would purchase the reed diffuser after trying it out because I think it’s more bang for your buck. Not only does it look good, but it smells great and keeps your home smelling great all day long. I might not get the Lotus Bamboo scent again… Not for my living room anyway. I ended up moving the diffuser into the bathroom after a few days and that particular scent seems more suited for that room, than my living room.

All in all, I feel a lot more positive about Glade now that I’ve actually tried their products. I’m still a huge Febreze fan, but I like Glade now too!
