Here’s Something I Can Guarantee You Won’t Read About Anywhere Else…

It’s the subject no one talks about — how to dispose of feminine hygiene items. Yeah, I put it out there! No one likes to talk about maxi pads and tampons, nevermind used ones… but now there’s a clean, easy, discreet way to deal with the unmentionable issue.

Have you ever been in a public restroom where you needed to dispose of a feminine care product and there was no special receptacle? Better yet, has hubby ever been a little grossed out by finding your used pads face up in the bathroom waste basket? Seriously, this is something that every woman has dealt with at one time or another. Monthly menstruation is something that almost every woman has to deal with on a monthly basis and yet none of us talk about it because it’s just so darn yucky and embarrassing. It’s bad enough having a period, but getting rid of the aftermath is another story…

Enter SCENSIBLES, a specially designed, single-use bag created specifically for the hygienic disposal of feminine care items. The personal size bag is an alternative to flushing tampons down the toilet or trying to roll up your used maxi pads in toilet paper.

sensiblesSo SCENSIBLES bags are designed with a contemporary pink-on-pink floral pattern, delicate scent and easy tie closure. Not only are they attractive on the outside, but antimicrobial agents are built right into the bag which inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria. The plastic bags are manufactured with an additive to enable them to biodegrade in landfills, making them a little less unpractical.

SCENSIBLES, dispensed from refillable units, are now in use in women’s restrooms in Wegmans supermarkets, the San Diego Zoo, the Washington State Ferry System and in many public buildings and institutions across the country, which I think is really cool. After seeing how easy they are to use, I wish they were available in ALL public restrooms. Or at least all the ones that I personally frequent like the mall or restaurant restroom…

boxApparently, the lucky few who found these indispensable little bags in Sand Diego Zoo etc were so excited about them, they demanded the company make them for home use! So the company introduced this decorative and stylish compact size box that fits in a bathroom drawer, on the back of the toilet, or wherever feminine care products are stored at home. It’s so cute, you could easily leave it out (and I’m sure your female friends will thank you)!

For more information please visit the website at www.scensiblesource.com. And SCENSIBLES were in the news! Click here to read.

Scensibles Personal Disposal Bags for Feminine Care Products can be purchased on Amazon.com for only $3.50 for a box of 50 bags.

Personally, I think they are a cool idea, especially for carrying in your purse and using when you’re out and about. Or for using when you are at home, if you don’t live alone! I would love it if these little bags were available in ALL public restrooms. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Tell me what you think about these little bags in the comments

I think it’s an excellent idea and long overdue. I always make a habit of wrapping mine several times in toilet paper so they don’t gross my husband out and I do that at work and in public. However, with the price of supermarket items these days, rolling it up several times in toilet paper, you will undoubtedly go through a lot of rolls during *that time of the month*. I’m glad someone finally put these bags on the market. I’m probably dating myself but when I was a young girl (early teens) there was one particular brand on the market that included disposable bags with the napkins in the box. But that was ages ago! LOL

A good way to dispose of these items is the use of newspaper. Wrap the used pad or tampon with several newspapers. Newspapers prevent the odor to come out. You can also recycle those paper you normally throw in the recycle bin.
