The one item I won’t leave the house without is mascara. I just won’t go out in public unless my lashes are drenched in a nice coat of black mascara. I feel naked without it. Because of this, I’ve tried about a million different brands of mascara and know what to look for. I’ve found 3 mascaras that deliver volume, length, and lash separation for under $10 each.

If you’re a fan of this blog, you probably know by now that I’m pretty much the unofficial spokesperson for CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara. It’s definitely my favorite… without a doubt.

However, when CoverGirl released CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe Shimmery Volumizing Mascara I just couldn’t say no. It’s even more perfect than the original LashBlast formula because they’ve added a luxe shimmer to it which adds just the right amount of dimension and sparkle for a completely dazzling look. Plus, it’s a tiny bit more voluminous than the original formula. It’s just perfect.

Available in 4 different dazzling shades, CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe Shimmery Volumizing Mascara has become my go-to mascara of the year. It does everything those expensive mascaras do and MORE, for like $8.00. Plus, it’s a big bottle, so it lasts a long time. I use it everyday and 1 tube of this stuff lasts about 2-3 months for me.

The runner up is the new Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara. This formula is similar to CoverGirl LashBlast Luxe Shimmery Volumizing Mascara but without the shimmer. The brush is almost identical but the formula is a little bit thicker. It’s more of a lash plumper than a mascara… it truly delivers the fat, voluminous lashes you crave.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper Mascara plumps lashes and makes them look thicker, longer and sexier. If you like the look of false lashes, but don’t want to bother with the hassle, then this is the mascara you want. There are very few mascaras that really and truly give you an increase in thickness and length, but this is one that does exactly what it promises to do.
