Say that three times fast!
Sheer, silk and chiffon fabrics are back as one of the top fashion trends for spring/summer 2008. We saw many celebrities start wearing it in late winter though!
You’re think, “Oh no! Not me!” but don’t fear, it’s not about provocative, see-through tops, and dresses. There will be no bare boobies or shirts that scream “Look at me!” like the sheer trend ended up being in the 1990s.
If you’ve been keeping track, the Spring / Summer 2008 runway collections have shown us beautiful sheer fabrics used in delicate, feminine ways. Look for loose, flowing tops and dresses layered with sheer fabrics.
Here are a few pieces we like…
Arlene Capsleeve Blouse
Delicate floral print cap sleeve chiffon blouse with ruffled placket trim. This cute top is approx 24” from shoulder to hem.
Would look great with bermuda shorts and it’s also available in cream/olive color.
Ruffle Trim Pleat Top
This fabulous top features short button sleeves, button closure, pleat bust detail, waist tie, ruffle trim and sheer material.
I think this top would look great with a nude camisole underneath. For bottoms, wear jeans or wide leg trousers and some cute wedges. Very sexy!
Sheer Short Sleeve Top
Fun and flirtatious shirt made of ribbed sheer polyester fabric.
This attractive blouse features short bell sleeves and a bateau neckline with a satin tie-off. Great for Spring right into Fall with a turtleneck underneath.
Pink Sheer Blouse
Feminine and sexy, this sheer blouse can be layered with a seamless cami features lace trim neckline, pleated bib, button close and flutter sleeves. Accented with lace tie around waist.
So sexy and light weight. Great for summer with a cute pair of shorts.
