Must-Have Accessory For Spring: Wide Belt

The must-have accessory for Spring 2009 is a wide belt. Don’t be afraid to try this trend ladies! A wide belt on top of any blouse immediately makes you look slimmer and trimmer, while accentuating the hourglass figure. It’s the only accessory that can make you look 10 pounds lighter in 2 second!

Isla FisherI went to Kohls last Saturday and I forgot how much I love that store. Holy moly, they have so many things on sale for incredibly low prices! It seems like everyday is a sale at that store. I never leave without spending at least $50, but I always come out with more than 1 bag!

This time, I spent over $100, but I got a ton of stuff. Two of the things I bought that were an absolute steal, were 2 wide belts. I got a apt. 9® Stretch Faux-Patent-Leather Belt in black for $12 and a wide brown apt. 9® Sash Belt for only $14. Plus, I got an extra 30% off for using my Kohls card.

You can wear a wide belt with anything from your favorite jersey to a shirt dress. They are very versatile and they always help define the waist, which makes you look skinnier. That’s something we all want!

Isla Fisher’s character, Rebecca Bloomwood, wore a belt with almost every outfit in the movie. Most of the belts she wore, were really wide and made a statement all their own.

I found a really cute Betsey Johnson Belt on Zappos that would look great with Spring dresses. It’s pretty pricey though… So I looked around a bit and found one that was really cheap on Charlotte Russe. This Distressed Waist Belt is only $6.99! Now that’s a bargain for a must-have item.

Regardless of your budget, you need a wide belt. Even if you can’t think of anything to wear one with right now, buy one. I guarantee that you’ll get dressed one day and think to yourself, “Hmmm… what’s missing? Ah ha! A belt!” and then you’ll grab that wide belt, strap it on, and look like a million bucks.
