The problem with going along with and believing in the double bind is that it puts blinders on folks.. they end up missing all sorts of beauty. There is beauty in the 1st blush of youth.. and beauty in the eyes of a 83 yr old who's lived a rich life, to everything there is a season.. and all seasons are unique and beautiful in their own ways. TI think people have always been and will continue to be visually drawn to pretty people.
