P.S. Big hair is very IN right now. I would consider big hair very red carpet ready. I have big hair too and am totally living it up right now. So happy to be done with the hippie waif stick straight hair craze of the 90s. I do straighten my hair from time to time, but last summer I went in for a nice big fat ringlet perm ala Poison Ivy.

Personally in my experience in this field I would say never give up your search for that one product that might make your hair more manageable. Respectively i think your beautiful despite what you feel is a downfall. It could be worse you could have no hair.

I am a stylist and owner of an Aveda salon (Zandi K. Hair and Skin Studio in Denver), that does a ton of Brazilian Blowouts and I have to say that it has had amazing results on different hair types. I just cut a client of mine who I had done the blowout on two weeks prior and we decided to do a really glam stlye iron curl on her and it was beautiful! It held the curl great and had a ton of volume. The difference was that it didn't take me 45 minutes to get her hair blow out before curling...it took me 5. She normally has super thick, coarse hair and she says she just washes and wears now. As a stylist, I have to say that it is a life/time saver for my clients...and my blow-drying arm. :-)

There's a NEWER keratin treatment, Brazilian Gloss, a brand new formula out in the hair care market! It's a lower heat which means less fumes if any and will make your hair much glossier and healthier. I've seen the results with my own eyes and it's AMAZING! :) Check it out here http://www.braziliangloss.com/about_brazilian_gloss-about-keratin-hair-treatement-and-curly-frizzy-hair-problems.html
