Eat A Lot Of Protein

Of course, the best source of proteins are meats, so eat a variety of them. Aim for about .81 grams per lb of body weight at the most. Try not to consume less than .60 grams per lb of body weight in protein.

Watch The Calories
For fat loss, McDonald recommends eating between 8 and 12 calories per lb of body weight. So, if you’re 150 lbs, you will want to eat between 1200 and 1800 calories to lose weight. Fortunately, the type of calories you eat aren’t nearly as important as the amount of calories.
Choose healthy food options when you can though, since they carry additional health benefits outside of weight loss. So, that means sticking with lots of low-sugar and starch vegetables and fruit.
Butter, which is rich is butyric acid, is amazingly healthy for your colon, so try to work that into your diet too.
If you’re having trouble cutting back on calories, try drinking more water. Most people don’t drink enough water, and this will help “prefill” your stomach before you eat.

Opt for more soluble fiber than insoluble fiber, especially fiber from beans and other legumes like lentils. You can also get plenty of soluble fiber from vegetables like greens, and fruits like apples.
Don’t overdo it on fiber though. Remember that you do want to consume your daily intake of calories. Too little calories, and you may send your body into “panic mode” where it slows down your metabolism dramatically.
At the end of the day, you want a balance – a good diet, some exercise outside, and some gym time.
