Product Review: Yes To Eye Products

Recently, I had the opportunity to try several products from the Yes To line, including:

• Yes To Blueberries Brightening Eye Roller
• Yes To Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment
• Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel

1. Yes to Blueberries Brightening Eye Roller

I’ve never used an eye roller, but the concept intrigued me so I was excited to try this one. The package states this product is 99%  natural, paraben, petroleum, and SLS-free, which I love because, even though I don’t exclusively use natural cosmetics, I do like them and what they stand for.

Other ingredients include antioxidants from blueberries, which help fight free radical damage; horse chestnut seed extract used to promote circulation and treat dark circles, and bearberry leaf extract, which is a botanical that helps brighten skin.

First Use

It took a second for product to get to the surface of the roller, but once it did it glided smoothly and effortlessly around my eye area. I liked the cooling feel of the rollerball, and I saw a noticeable difference in the appearance of my dark circles after a few minutes. I also really liked how I could feel my skin “tightening” after using the rollerball; my eyes looked more awake and refreshed, so I was pretty impressed with this just after the first use.

After One Month

It’s been about a month now, and I am still using the eye roller faithfully. I love what it’s done for my dark circles – other than concealer, I’ve never been able to completely disguise them as well as I have been able to do with this brightening eye roller. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has been struggling with those pesky dark circles – it worked for me, it might work for you too!

2. Yes To Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment

Next up is the Eye Firming Treatment. While I’m still in my mid-20′s, I think now is the perfect time to start using anti-aging skincare products as a preventative measure. This treatment is 95% natural, and is also paraben, petroleum and SLS-free. Other ingredients include antioxidants to fight free radicals; Paracress Flower to help restore skin’s smoothness; Beeswax that acts as an emollient while promoting moisture retention, and Olive Fruit Oil, which is rich in oleic acid to help regenerate skin cells and add moisture.

First Use

I cleansed my face first, and then applied a small amount of this product to my eye area. It felt almost instantly moisturized, and I liked that you only needed just a dab to get the job done. The skin around my eyes felt firmer after the first use, too – and I liked how this eye cream didn’t irritate my eyes like some can.

After One Month

Boy, have I noticed a difference! I don’t have deep wrinkles, but I do notice a few fine lines starting to creep up. After using this eye cream regularly, you can barely tell there’s anything there. I hope they never stop making this product, because I will definitely want to have this cream on hand when I hit my 30′s!

3. Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel

Anything that says it has a cooling effect, I want to try – especially since my eyes often get irritated and dry from my constant allergies and sinus issues. This eye gel contains cucumber for rejuvenating and softening skin; spirulina, which is an algae designed to protect skin against irritants; chamomile to soothe tired eyes; green tea for its anti-inflammatory properties, and Dead Sea Minerals to help naturally exfoliate and detoxify the skin.

First Use

I tried this after I had… ahem… over-indulged in a few too many cocktails the night before, and I wanted to see if this soothing gel would reduce my puffy eyes and make me look like I wasn’t suffering from a hangover. It did! My eyes felt and looked instantly more alert and awake, even if I didn’t feel that way. Plus, the cooling gel felt really good against my skin.

After One Month

I am still a huge fan of this eye gel, and I like to keep it in the fridge now to maximize the cooling effect. This has now become my go-to product when my eyes need a pick-me-up, and I am just as pleased with the results now as I was upon first use.

I hadn’t had much experience with Yes To products before, but now I am so glad I was able to try these three eye care products. I definitely think they are essential for any woman looking for alert, awake eyes; diminished puffiness and reduced dark circles and fine lines. I wasn’t disappointed with my results at all!
