Holy krabby patties!!!
First off, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jessica Simpson this big in my life. It doesn’t even look like her. Her sister just had a baby and is much smaller than her… I don’t want to be judgmental, but she’s always prided herself in having a svelte, “Daisy Duke” figure so I don’t know whether to applaud her for not conforming to societies demands or ask if she’s ok? Is something bothering her? Is she under a lot of stress? Is it something medical?
Secondly, I don’t think I would be as shocked as I am if she had made a better wardrobe choice for her appearance at a country music concert in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This isn’t exactly a flattering outfit, nor does it seem appropriate for a “Chili Cook-off” event.
If she traded that boring tank for a Yummie Tummie Tank and wore some simple, well-fitting jeans instead of those hideous high-waisted lovelies that are 2 sizes too small for her, she would have looked a LOT better. And that belt? Well it might be good on someone… in another day, in another life… Just not with those pants and not on her.
Am I being too critical, or did Simpson really miss the mark with this outfit? Tell us!

Be kind ladies. You mean you all look good everyday. You never have a fashion disaster day?
The outfit is horrible. Looks like she is cut in half. Her hair and face look good though. I’m sure there are a lot of guys out there who wouldn’t care if she were in houseshoes and curlers.
I think her hair is fabulous and she’s still very pretty!
Wow someone has a hair across their bottom today…
Dishiness readers have been discussing the same thing (http://www.dishiness.com/?p=4460), but the responses from them have generally been that she looks beautiful… maybe even better with some meat on her bones.
I personally think she’s probably the healthiest she’s ever been (“healthy” NOT being a euphemism for “fat,” I promise!). It was just a bad choice in clothing.
Yet another case of Wrong outfit wrong time!! It is gosh-awful, and I wish I hadn’t seen this, because it will haunt my dreams and shopping trips FOREVER. She is a beautiful woman, but I’m not sure her current body shape would look flattering in this outfit even if she were ahem…slimmer. We all have our days, guess this is one of hers…
I stand by what I wrote. Look, I am not *dissing* Jessica. She is a beautiful girl and let’s face it ladies, we ALL have a couple days we have made a wrong fashion choice – MYSELF INCLUDED. I don’t like to see anorexic or emaciated girls either. I still say that Jessica or her stylist, chose the wrong outfit for her shape. She is a curvy girl like I am, but I have learned how to dress to disguise certain things. Now, curves are one thing, but dressing in an outfit that makes you look larger than what you are is not flattering nor does it showcase your curves.
She would have looked better, fashionably speaking, if she chose a blouse that was not tucked in, and a different pant style. I would have given her a tunic wrap top (which wrap tops flatters large busted gals) and if she wanted a belt, then chose a narrower one. Then I would have given her a slimmer jean to tuck into her boots OR else, a boot cut jean. She would have looked even more gorgeous than what she is naturally. High waisted pants do not look flattering on large busted gals. I know this from personal experience!
So, picture her from the outfit she has on to changing to:
Tunic wrap top
Slim jeans or boot cut jeans
Narrower belt instead of wide cut
Same footwear or not…
Much better in my opinion !
