Top 3 Moisturizers To Heal Dry Winter Skin

We tested several highly moisturizing hand creams to find out which ones helped fight dry winter skin the best.

1. Vaseline Intensive Rescue Clinical Therapy Skin Protectant Body Lotionicon

Clinical Therapy Lotion provides 60% more moisture than a prescription lotion, and is available without a prescription. The best part is that it’s not greasy, watered down or too thick and is available lightly fragranced and unfragranced making Clinical Therapy great for the entire family.

After months of slathering shea butter, foot balms, and a multitude of other products on my feet every night before bed, I would still wake up with dry scratchy feet. We have central air in the house which makes it quite dry and keeping my feet even remotely moisturized is extremely difficult.

This stuff is AMAZING! Everyone should have a bottle of this stuff in their house, especially if you live somewhere cold. My husband uses it on his hands before he goes to bed every night and it has worked miracles. His hands were so dry and cracked, he was in pain. (He travels a lot and has an allergy to the fire-retardant chemicals in airplanes.) In short, this has made the look and feel of his hands a LOT better.

On the other hand… or foot rather, this lotion has worked miracles on my dry feet, knees, and elbows. Even if I only use it once or twice a week, it keeps my skin soft and smooth for a long time afterwards. Just amazing and I highly recommend it. It’s the absolute best lotion on the market right now!

Price: $6.29

2. Bach Rescue Creamicon

Helps Soothe And Heal The Skin. Rescue Cream helps to promote healing of irritated or damaged skin. A combination of six of the Bach® flower essences:

* Cherry Plum
* Clematis
* Crab Apple
* Impatiens
* Rock Rose
* Star of Bethlehem

Rescue cream is a soothing cream that can be applied to hands, body or face, and is safe for use on rough, chapped or damaged skin. I use it mostly on my hands and really massage it into my cuticles too. Made from homeopathically prepared extracts of wild plants, bushes and trees, following Dr. Edward Bach’s original instructions. Gentle, safe and suitable for the whole family. I use it on my daughter’s feet too. Her poor little feet have been so dry this winter.

Overall, I think this is a really great moisturizer for any extra dry area on your body. I give this one 5 stars because it’s a great moisturizer and because it’s natural instead of made in a laboratory.

Price: $14.99

3. Olay Body Quench Deep Moisture Body Lotionicon

Aquacurrent™ Science helps move moisture deep into skin’ surface, leaving skin velvety smooth all over.

Quench with Cocoa Butter, Jojoba and Vitamin B3 uses Aquacurrent™ Science to help channel moisture where it’s needed, deep into the skin’s surface. The rich, non-greasy formula leaves skin velvety smooth all day and all night. First, Quench provides an immediate burst of moisture that continues for 24 hours. Then, drawn deep into the skin’s surface, it repairs and nourishes the moisture barrier, strengthening skin’s resilience against everyday drying conditions. The result? Deep moisturization that breaks the cycle of dry skin.

This is another amazing moisturizer I highly recommend. Plus it’s really affordable and available at lots of stores and online too!

Price: $5.59

Where: Drugstore.comicon
