CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Mascara

It’s a good mascara, but it doesn’t really make your eyes “pop”. I just didn’t get that effect from it…

Of course it’s better than using no mascara at all, but who doesn’t wear mascara? Seriously!
Maybe it’s just me… The mascara for brown eyes is just a black color. I would be interested in knowing how the one for blues eyes works. Or maybe the ones for hazel eyes, which appears to be a pretty purple/plum color.
As mascara, this is actually pretty great. No clumps or lumps. So it’s a good formula, but I don’t get the eye brightening affect it promises. After googling for reviews of the mascara, it looks like I’m not the only one who doesn’t get the promised results.
Hear me out… I LOVE CoverGirl. You ladies know I swear by my CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara in “Black”. I seriously won’t leave the house without a coat of this stuff on my lashes.
There are literally like a dozen CoverGirl products I swear by, would endorse, and rave about all the time. But this, my friends, is not one of them.
Have you tried this mascara? What did you think?

You had the same result too I see. Actually I did review it – on your site I believe. But I am glad to know the non-results wasn’t all in my head. I kept staring at my eyes in the mirror hoping to see even a miniscule difference. Nothing at all. And…get this — Lash Blast is ALSO making a version of this. As if the regular Cover Girl wasn’t enough. And I too love Lash Blast…oh well, like you said, it’s a great mascara but no one should be expecting to see anything different from using it.
I tried it for blue eyes and have to agree. Not a bad mascara, but nothing too special about it either.
thankfully i got it with a coupon. it is nothing special at all. kinda a bummer that my girl rhianna is in the ads for it.
I have the Cover Girl Exact Eyelights for Blue Eyes and I really hate it. The formula is fine (fine, not good or great), and the color (a metallic grey-blue) actually does less for blue eyes than a regular black mascara.

The formula for green eyes does noticeably enhance my green eyes. I am pleased with the effect.
I am presently trying CG Exact Eyelights. Don’t really care about seeing any eyelights, but i do like the brush & the mascara. Only use one coat and it’s fine.
Also, very reasonably priced.
It did help my green eyes stand out a little bit.
My eyelashes are stick straight, so I have to curl them – which doesn’t always hold. This mascara definitely made curling easy. They stayed perfect all day.
The downside – when I went to wash OFF the mascara the next day, it would NOT budge. I tried soap, make-up remover, lotion with a cotton ball, EVERYTHING!! I STILL have clumps stuck on my eyelashes.
I won’t use this mascara again for the simple fact that I don’t have time to sandblast my eyelashes every morning to get yesterday’s mascara off.
this mascara didn’t really work with the color of my eyes but its the best mascara i have used. it keeps my lashes up and curled all day. i don’t have to keep curling or re applying mascara.
the kind for hazel eyes is not the plum colored one. that is for green eyes. red and green are compliments, which means when a person sees red, it searched for green. i have green eyes, and when i wear red shirts, it makes my eyes more green and less hazel.
i just bought this kind today, so im eager to see if i can tell a brightening enhancement.
I have green eyes and the one made for green eyes is a raisin color and really does make the green stand out more, it’s not a huge difference but it’s atleast noticeable. I also use a purple eyeliner which helps out alot too.
makes no difference for brown eyes.. and my brown eyes aren’t dark brown
It’s probably More effective for different colored eyes..
But it makes my lashes Very long and thick not clumped up
